Hand-dyed, and sun dried, here in the New Mexico sunshine, featuring stunning colors and unique watercolor-like patterns; this buttery-soft rayon robe is perfect for the spa, the pool, hot springs, or simply lounging or getting ready for the day. Each piece is dyed using a unique ice and fiber-reactive pigment technique, resulting in melty patterns that are unmatched, and unlike any other technique! It's an exciting mix between control and fate- everything from the temperature, the direction of the wind, how fast the ice melts, and so many other factors, determine how your piece comes out, so there's a bit of lack of control about this process that I find incredibly comforting! You'll find endless little constellations of color to get lost in, that will only contribute to the relaxing experiences you'll have in this robe :)
Wash instructions
Your hand-dyed item has been pre-washed with textile soap, soaked in a solution, dyed, heavily rinsed, and post-washed in textile soap; all of these steps are to ensure that the colors are permanent, and that they won't bleed. However, some pigments are more challenging and might bleed in the 2nd or 3rd wash- because of this, I recommend hand washing separately for the 1st and 2nd time. Your piece will last longer and fade less if you continue to hand-wash, but depending on frequency of washing, machine washing can be just fine too. Use cold water, and hang to dry to avoid fading.
